A marketing maverick and media professional, Richard Lynch of RichardKnows, has been navigating the modern, ever-changing mediascape for 20 years, and is now making his expertise and experience available to you. Richard Lynch graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology with a degree in Marketing & Communications from the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 1993. He then moved to New York where he lived for almost 16 years working with the likes of Cosmopolitan Magazine; Central Talent Booking, an agency that booked stars for a variety of shows including the David Letterman Show; and as store concierge for retailing giant Barney’s NY. Richard has been producing photo shoots, documentaries, and large-scale events for well over a decade. He wrote a weekly double-page column in the Limerick Chronicle newspaper, Irelands oldest newspaper from 2010 – 2018 and now his column appears in the Leader newspaper. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year 2011 and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards 2011 for promoting multi-culturalism online. He is a professional public speaker, event host, and presenter. Richard Lynch is a community activist and was named Limerick Person of the Year in 2011 for his voluntary work in the community and charity sectors. In that same year, Richard also won an online award at the Metro Eireann Media and Multicultural Awards for promoting multi-culturalism online. In has been involved in producing the Limerick Pride Festival since 2008 and founded ILoveLimerick.com the same year. I Love Limerick is a creative project driven by, motivated and inspired by Limerick people and focused entirely on the city and her citizens. Through a series of exciting and well-produced documentaries, lifestyle programming, interviews, and photography, the I Love Limerick project aims to encourage wider respect and pride for the city by focusing on the wealth of interesting, talented and motivated people who live, work and create here by highlighting everything positive about Limerick. Richard is a professional networker and a ‘Connector’, defined by Malcolm Gladwell, author of the book ‘The Tipping Point’ as, “people in a community who know large numbers of people and who are in the habit of making introductions. A connector is essentially the social equivalent of a computer network hub. They usually know people across an array of social, cultural, professional, and economic circles, and make a habit of introducing people who work or live in different circles. They are people who link us up with the world, people with a special gift for bringing the world together. They are a handful of people with a truly extraordinary knack for making friends and acquaintances.” As a ‘Connector’, Richard has a network of talent available at his fingertips and works closely with other creative visionaries to offer a full one-stop-shop offering a range of services to ensure his clients are on top. Richards mother told him, “never be a stranger in a person’s company”, and this wise advice has served him well in both his life and in business. Richards motto is “2+2=7”, as the combination of what RichardKnows and who RichardKnows adds to an explosion of ideas, creativity and real results for your business. “My tagline is two plus two equals seven. There is strength in numbers. I provide mentoring and have helped countless businesses’, community organisations and individuals get a presence in the press and online. Creative consultation, social media, publicity, and marketing all are a huge part of what I do.” Richards clients include Shannon Region Conference & Sports Bureau, Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards and Focus Ireland. Richard is the official publicist for faces such as Celia Holman Lee and Leanne Moore, both of whom Richard has been working with for over a decade. He is also an actor, public speaker, event host, and presenter. Richard attended the William Esper Conservatory in NY where he graduated from their prestigious acting program in 2006.
