“Richard is a long-time friend and collaborator of Doras Luimní and was appointed as our Ambassador in 2011. He is a passionate advocate for our organisation because he believes in the work we do and shares our commitment to human rights. Richard has often given generously of his time and resources to support our events and campaigns over the last few years and we are very proud of our association with him. Last year Richard was awarded a Metro Eireann Media and Multicultural (MAMA) Award in recognition of his work to promote integration and diversity through online media. The MAMAs celebrate the work of those who promote cross-cultural understanding and co-operation in Ireland. We were delighted to see this work recognised – is as badly needed as ever in these difficult times. The idea of MAMA is to highlight the positive role the media can play in leading and facilitating integration.
