Picture: Dermot Culhane. Nearly 9,000 people in Ireland are now homeless and over 3,000 of these are children. To help end family homelessness, Focus Ireland with support from Bord Gais Energy are asking people all over Ireland to help by taking part in Irelands Great Get Together from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd of April. Host a Get Together in your home, workplace, school or community and invite your friends, family and colleagues. Your Get Together could be a dinner party, a house party, an event at your local club, a sports tournament, a frock swap or fashion event, a poetry or book reading, a performance or concert, an art class or an organised nature walk. Whatever you do is up to you! As long as you bring people together and raise funds to help end family homelessness. For full details and supporting materials see focusireland.ie
